Holidays by the sea, history and nature.
Caorle is an old city of roman’s epoch. It’s localized near Venice and it’s on the north coast of Adriatic Sea.
Caorle has a beautiful storic centre with small streets called “calli” in the typic venetian’s style.
During your stay in Caorle you will stroll through the colourful alleys of the historic centre and be guided by the beauty and characteristic scents of the village. Not only glimpses to be discovered, but also shops and clubs where you can indulge in some shopping or relax while sipping a drink or enjoying an ice cream.
Moving a little further away from the historical centre of Caorle and immersing yourself in the unspoilt nature of the lagoon, you can find unusual lagoon dwellings typical of the area. These structures of wood and marsh cane are called ‘Casoni’ and were the homes of the Littoral fishermen.
From Caorle, it is possible to make various excursions on foot, by bicycle and by motorboat to discover the beauty of the local landscape, such as the fishermen’s island with its characteristic Casoni; the nearby towns of Concordia Sagittaria and Portogruaro, rich in historical vestiges and archaeological museums; the Lison-Pramaggiore DOC wine route; the nearby art cities of Venice, Padua, Treviso, Trieste and the charming Veneto Villas.
